They had some considerable experience opening and running chiropractic offices: between them, they had opened the 12 chiropractic clinics in Georgia and New Jersey.  Not to mention, one of them was also a partner in a large national chiropractic franchise, and personally co-opened over 40 locations successfully.  

Throughout the process, they found themselves taking the extra steps: they hired a wide variety of business consultants - from MBA's to IT professionals - to help streamline the operational system.  Their belief was that the key to smooth, efficient operations was less employees and more automation, especially if the automation can be integrated together to make a "one stop shop."  The result is the model used in SIMPLY CHIROPRACTIC™ today.

The system - born of hundreds of hours of experience - is a comprehensive model designed to assist you from the day you sign up as the next  SIMPLY CHIROPRACTIC™ through years of operations.  The idea is to be your experienced partner: helping you open, giving you the models and methods you need, and holding you accountable for your own success.  

Simple Operating Model

The location can be opened by yourself or with just one employee and this can be the ongoing model.  It can also be opened as in investor with a chiropractor hired to service the location. 

From our side, the primary developers responsible for the business model are licensed Doctors of Chiropractic (4 years of college and 4 year post-secondary chiropractic college) who worked with various industry and consulting experts to streamline the business model and make the most effective and efficient use of your time.  Not only is the model created by chiropractors for chiropractors, but benefits you from hundreds of hours of consulting to make it perfect.

In the beginning, the  SIMPLY CHIROPRACTIC™ team will help you find, lease and build out your new location.  Services available include:

Real Estate

Real Estate support, analysis, and expert advice to  successfully select the most viable location through the use of a developed Geographic Information System.  Additionally, we assist with the lease negotiation to maximize your tenant improvement (landlord contribution).  Unlike our competition, we often are able to retrofit your existing location to meet the franchise guidelines. 


Construction support, analytic tools, national contracts for material and supplies as well as support through the successful award of your Certificate of Occupancy. While the site is being prepared, you come to our Atlanta or NJ training facility for formal training.


Intensive new Franchisee Training covering all aspects of the business—to help ensure you get off to a great start, and on-going e-learning.

New Patient Generation 

We also help you to prepare a Grand Opening to help you hit the ground with your feet running.  New patients are already signing up when you open your doors!

A Comprehensive Practice Management System

After many years of operating chiropractic clinics, and having hired dozens of consultants for hundreds of hours, we have developed what we believe to be the simplest, most holistic practice management system available. 

We use an online management system as a skeleton, and have customized an integrated platform that includes your patient payment system and and patient scheduling, your patient files and SOAP notes, your accounting, your marketing and lead generation, even your automated patient relationship manager. 

The workflow between these options is designed to do two things:

  1. Automate the Operation.  The more automation, the less work there is for you. 
  2. Simplify the Workflow.  The idea is to have things easy to find and easy to use, and to have them "make sense."

This type of automation generates a lot of great "business intelligence" - information about your practice and its strengths and weaknesses. SIMPLY CHIROPRACTIC™ employs a team of "Business Consultants" who review your data with you each month, and help "coach" you to be stronger in some of your weak areas.  Remember: our motivation is successful franchisees/stores.  It is important to us that your practice is stable in its operation and growth, so we work with you to consistently improve your practice.

Automate the Operation

You have a practice - you see patients, want to spend time with them and focused on them.  We know that, and have designed a workflow that enables you to focus on them.  Virtually all of the workflows that can be automated have been. 

For example, a new patient can fill out all of their paperwork online or they can do it on a tablet when they get to your office.  Once entered, it automatically creates a file for you, in which you enter your notes, etc. They are also automatically setup for birthday, anniversary and holiday emails. Also, they pay at that time, which automatically tracks into your accounting software. If they are monthly members, it sets up an autobill.  If they haven't paid when they show up at your office, you simply hand them the tablet to fill out everything and pay.  

Ease of Use

From the new patient paperwork to SOAP files, and ongoing patient contacts to billing systems - the entire operational system is integrated into a single cohesive system.  That system allows patients to fill out their patient paperwork online or at your location to have it uploaded into your practice management system.  You can bill them prior to you seeing them and the system will enter your SOAP notes automatically.  It even reminds patients of their next recommended visit if they haven't been in a while, as well as wishing them a happy birthday, anniversary, and various holidays.  The entire system is not based on an in-office server, but rather cloud-based "remote access" so you can log in from home, the office, a tablet, or a laptop - anywhere there is internet.  

The workflow is designed according to the most streamlined workflow you can for your office. Aside from the automation, when a client checks in, they are automatically put in a queue.  You "pull" the client from your queue and their case file is opened to put in SOAP notes, etc. If they haven't paid, it let's you know and they can pay right there on the tablet. 


Practice Analysis & Consulting 

As we have said: We hold ourselves responsible to our shareholders.  Our motivation - and profitability - is designed around the concept of opening and successfully operating SIMPLY CHIROPRACTIC™ locations.  For this reason, we track and monitor the data surrounding each location to ensure they are maximizing their capabilities. 

In line with this position, we also employ multiple "Practice/Business Consultants" who review your data and other information about your practice.  These consultants come from a variety of backgrounds - operations, sales, workflow, even fellow chiropractors. After analyzing your information, they identify your strengths and weaknesses, and offer monthly (or more if you choose) coaching sessions to improve your performance.

The SIMPLY CHIROPRACTIC™ dashboard is a remote web based owner log in application designed to simplify and manage relevant data to manage your business. The information is presented in a manner that is both comprehensive and easy to understand. The goal is to give the owner the pertinent and timely BI ("business intel") to manage and oversee every aspect of the practice. The Dashboard uses drop downs to display more details as well as offer alerts to areas that need improvement and offer solutions to improve.

Simply Chiropractic has developed a system for new hires - from personality tests to contracts - to help you through the process.  Specifically, we make available to you:

What exactly is "IT Management"?

In today's "tech" world, we hear a lot of words thrown around, and what they mean and how they can help your business is not always clear. We often get asked what exactly our IT Management program is.  The best place to start is with the definition:

[IT Management] is the discipline whereby all of the information technology resources of a firm are managed in accordance with its needs and priorities. The central aim of IT management is to generate value through the use of technology

Our belief is that the goal of IT is to "generate value through the use of technology." At SIMPLY CHIROPRACTIC™, we accomplish this through three practices:  (i) finding and employing the best technology available at the best price to accomplish the task, (ii) monitoring and maintaining that technology to make sure it is available and working properly, and (iii) continuously improving the technology (a "kaizen" approach) so as to not fall behind new or more efficient technology. 


Finding the Best Technology

As chiropractors ourselves, we have sought out the "best" technology for our own practices.  The key here is that we have sought out the "best" - but that doesn't always mean the newest or the most reliable.  What we look for in technology is::

  1. Effectively accomplish the task it is being used for.  Whatever the task is to be accomplished - client relationship management, waiting room queue, accounting - the technology first and foremost must accomplish the task. 
  2. Cost Effectively accomplish the task it is being used for.  Whatever the task, the technology must make the task easier, with less work, than without the technology.  For example, patients being able to pay before they come to your location, or even once they are there being able to pay on a tablet, is a more efficient way than having to manually run credit cards after every adjustment, or worse: billing clients in the mail. 
  3. It must be reliable.  It is one thing if the technology is effective and efficient, but what if it breaks down all the time?  For this reason, we tend to stay away from newer technology until it is tested.  Reliability is a big factor for us: what good is the fastest car on the road if it is always in the shop?
  4. It must be able to be integrated.   Our entire model is based on simplifying your practice - only having to do things once, in one place.  Technology that can't integrate into our model will cause work to have to be done twice.  Granted, we use open source or API applications with virtually all of our components, so it is rare to find something mainstream that cannot be integrated. 

As we evaluate technology, it must satisfy all four of those factors.  The current platform that we have created not only satisfies all four, but is absolute best of class.  


IT Maintenance 

It is one thing to be reliable, but technology, no matter how good it is, breaks down from time to time. 

For this reason, we employ an in-house technology team that is your own personal Help Desk.  It is a "one stop shop" for all of your IT needs.  Email down? Call Help Desk. Can't login for some reason?  Call Help Desk. Your router is down?  Call Help Desk.  

The Help Desk services also include a 24/7 monitoring of your equipment and files, as well as on-site technicians if necessary.  We take our Help Desk seriously because our franchisees operate their entire business on their IT platforms, so we do everything in our power to maximize "up-time."


Kaizen approach

Just because we have the best technology now doesn't mean we rest on our laurels.  We are continuously seeking new and improved technology so that we don't fall behind in effectiveness and efficiency.   

Many businesses - and franchises in particular - continue to use outdated technology because it is easier than doing a franchise-wide roll-out and training of new technology. While this is understandable from a corporate franchise perspective, we feel it is completely unacceptable to our franchisees if we did not make sure that they are using the best available for their practice.
